Long May She Reign plays with the idea of Panti as Dublin royalty — bold, unapologetic and instantly recognisable. The familiar façade of the bar is stripped back and reworked in the bright, graphic style that runs through my Sketchy prints.
The artwork is a hand-pulled, two-colour screen print - fluro pink and a hand mixed turquoise, produced in a limited edition of 10. Each colour is printed separately by hand, with the subtle variations and imperfections inherent in the screen-printing process making every print unique.
At its heart, Long May She Reign celebrates Panti in all her glory — the wit, the style, the wigs, the stage presence, and her place as a much-loved icon and unapologetic ambassador for queer Ireland.
